MEET RACHEL | owner and creator of HARPERSHAND

I'M RACHEL - owner and creative behind HARPERSHAND, and lover of all things pup, coffee, and meme related. However, I also have to admit I'm an avid podcast listener and big fan of Law and Order: SVU. 

With six years of EA experience coupled with five years of sales and event management experience, I was now ready to take everything that I had previously learned in terms of business development and start implementing these fundamentals towards building up my own small business; HARPERSHAND.  As a self-taught modern day calligrapher with almost ten years of experience in the industry, I strive to create beautiful handmade calligraphy pieces for my clients most special and memorable moments. 

When we first launched HARPERSHAND back in November of 2017, we had literally ZERO expectations for what this would ultimately look like for us as a first time small business venture, and the truth is, we have continually been amazed with the direction it has taken us and we cannot wait to see what else it has in store for us. At the time of our initial launch, our main goal was to officially get our name out there and start creating amazing pieces for our clients (while still doing what we love to do). 

Now, we can say that we have been able to start gradually gaining traction as an overall company throughout the process of working on new and exciting collaborative projects with other fellow female bosses and creatives in the Orange County surrounding area. We have started developing a sense of community and we continue to strengthen those close-knit relationships to build off and inspire one another. Another exciting announcement for us is that as of March of 2019 this year, HARPERSHAND officially welcomed event coordination services on as an additional new service. With both calligraphy and cordination services added now, we hope to be utilized as an excellent resource for all future clients for not only specific signage needs, but also event coordination needs as well. 

HARPERSHAND aims to continue providing services that are both memorable and meaningful through careful coordination and custom crafted calligraphy pieces.
